About us
We are David and Linda, a husband and wife team based in Christchurch, New Zealand. David's mother is in her 90s and still enjoys getting out and seeing her friends but when the family weren't available there were no services that could get her to her weekly Saturday trip to meet her friends. We realised that there were many people who needed a wee bit of extra help getting out and about to social events or appointments. Taxis don't give enough support getting in and out of the car and other driving services don't provide assistance in the evenings or weekends. That's when Companion Wheels was born!
We are both fully police checked, licensed and insured.
David is Lyttelton born and bred! He has deep knowledge of Christchurch and Banks Peninsula and loves taking visitors to hidden gems. He loves to show off his home town. David's background is in security systems although his passion is converting anything he can to electric power. So far he's rebuilt his skateboard, dirt bike, canoe and boogie board. What's next?
Linda immigrated to New Zealand from Glasgow in Scotland 20 years ago and loves New Zealand with a passion. Her background is in business, higher education and health administration. Linda loves helping people get to where they need to go.
We provide companion driving across all of Christchurch. We cover Lyttelton and Banks Peninsula. We provide companion driving services in evenings and weekends.

can have a huge impact on your wellbeing.
From working for a nationwide company Linda knows what it's like when you have multiple
appointments in a strange city and you need to hit the ground running so we offer a car and driver
service. You will have a car and driver at your disposal for as long as you need.
We are so lucky to live in beautiful Christchurch where there are so many clubs
for sports or dancing and many great cafes and restaurants and we are so close to the
sea and to the mountains. We want you to be able to enjoy whatever it is that you love or getting to where ever you need to go.
